“The BBC Valentine’s Fun Day, which encompasses the annual Ladies versus Gentlemen tussle, was a great success. Although starting off under grey rain clouds, the weather turned good and 48 bowlers took up the battle of the sexes. After the first two sessions the Ladies were leading by 19 points to 13. A luscious and filling lunch was provided by our lovely caterer Petra, and in the final session the Men fought back and nearly caught up. The final results – Ladies – 25 points; Men – 23 points. The winning teams from each side were presented with a bottle of Cava. Congratulations to all who competed and the organisers for such a FUN day.”
