Following the arrival of our new carpet the first competition was a 3 wood pairs round robin which took place on a Saturday morning.. Despite the heat and humidity we had 6 teams and ran the competition over 5 weeks. Heading into the last week 2 teams were tied on 10 points each having won 3 and drawn 1 of the 4 games. The all men’s team of Steve Inglis, Bert McClean, Tony Walker and Mark Ivory won their last game to become overall winners with 13 points with the mixed team of Maria Morawiec, Julie Clark, Dave Dickinson and Gerry Clark coming a close second. As usual a fun time was had by all bowlers and refreshed by cool drinks at the end.
